2019 COMPETITION / DANCE MUSIC

February 22, 2019
Vieve Gore Recital Hall, Jewett Center for the Performing Arts at Westminster College

Registration Deadline / January 26, 2019

RULES

This competition is open to UFA members. Participants may compete solely in their age division, a higher division, or a combination of both. They may select to perform one, two, or three pieces in their level, a higher division, or pieces open to everyone. Participants are not allowed to compete in a younger division. The Adult Amateur level is only open to adults 18+ who are not enrolled in school. The College/Post-College division is open to everyone.

COMPETITION DETAILS & REGISTRATION

Accompanists will not be provided for the competition, so you must provide your own. Each flutist will perform for three judges. Repertoire will be provided for the judges, so there is no need to bring music for them. Memorization is not required, but is a nice touch for the recital, if selected to perform. Winners will be announced on February 23 at the 2019 Flute Festival. Each flutist may enter up to three pieces. The application fee is as follows:

For Primary & Novice divisions: $10 (1 piece); $15 (2 pieces); $20 (3 pieces)
For all other divisions: $15 (1 piece); $20 (2 pieces); $25 (3 pieces)

Application can be found at the bottom of the page.
